What is microneedling?

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a cosmetic treatment that improves skin tone and texture. For microneedling, your provider uses a special tool with tiny, thin needles that create microtears in the surface of your skin.

What happens during microneedling?

Frederick Med Spa reviews what you can expect during your microneedling at your initial consultation. Your provider cleans your skin with an antiseptic agent and applies a numbing lotion to minimize discomfort.

Then, they apply the Morpheus8 microneedling tool to your skin and start your session. Treatments take 20-30 minutes. Your practitioner recommends a series of microneedling sessions to get the best results. The number of sessions you need depends on your skin concerns and goals.

When can I expect to see results from microneedling?
